Roger joined RJC Consultants in January 2001 as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and is now responsible for quantum work, either in a traditional quantity surveying role or as an element of formal dispute resolution.

Roger has worked in the construction industry for more than 40 years, having been trained in private practice and is a computer literate chartered quantity surveyor with both in-depth and varied experience across several functional areas of the construction and engineering industries (nationally and abroad). He has had extensive involvement with traditional new-build and refurbishment projects, civil engineering works, mechanical and electrical engineering installations, oil and gas, petrochemical and process engineering schemes, energy efficiency and environmental audits. This includes a variety of key roles, from preparation of contract documentation and evaluation of tenders to settlement of final accounts.

Evaluation of two M & E variation final accounts, each in excess of £2m in preparation for adjudication referrals; acting for a major UK contractor.

Complete re-measurement of £3m traditional school project including evaluation of all variations; acting for London local authority.

Ascertainment of costs in respect of prolongation, overheads, finance charges and interest on a variety of loss & expense claims, mostly being referred to adjudication or arbitration proceedings.

Contract and cost administration of all disciplines comprising £200m process engineering expansion project including administration of follow on term contracts; acting as the client's representative.
