Smith MRICS ACIArb Director Roger joined RJC Consultants in July 2002 as a Senior Consultant and is now responsible for the Thames Valley Office. Roger has worked in the construction industry for 20 years. Roger trained as a quantity surveyor whilst working for a regional contracting organisation and progressed his career working for both regional and national contractors and more recently was employed as managing surveyor responsible for the South West region of a £100m turnover contractor. During this period Roger gained extensive experience in commercial management, procurement, contract administration, conflict avoidance and dispute resolution. Both referring and responding to adjudication with employers, subcontractors and consultants. Being retained to provide advice to major contractors on various commercial issues. Pursuing and defending the enforcement of adjudication decisions. Developing a strategic alliance with a firm of local solicitors. Roger is currently studying for a post-graduate Diploma in Arbitration. Memberships:
